About me

He has been involved in the IT industry for over 20 years, progressing from a programmer and systems architect to co-founder of Sagiton, a company he has been co-creating since 2012.

He developed his technical expertise, among other places, at the Wrocław Centre for Networking and Supercomputing, which provided him with a strong foundation for working on complex technological projects. He has supported organizations across various business sectors – from manufacturing and e-commerce, through marketing and sales, to customer service.

Marcin specializes in designing solutions that automate processes, with a particular focus on the construction sector. He combines technological and business perspectives, helping clients implement solutions that genuinely streamline daily operations.

In areas such as AI, process automation, and cybersecurity, he primarily focuses on the practical application of technology. He advocates for an approach where new technological solutions are designed not only with efficiency in mind but also with a focus on security, scalability, and long-term business value.

Digital Independence in E-Commerce: How to Escape the Trap of Vendor Lock-in and People Lock-in

In the history of business digitalization, efficiency has always been the overriding goal. The first steps were simple: sheets of paper and binders were replaced with Excel sheets, and these over time gave way to specialized ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) or CRM (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot). In the e-commerce industry, the beginnings were based on “tailor-made” solutions — dedicated stores built from scratch. Without this pioneering approach, the success of online trading would not have been possible, however, over time, it turned out that own code, written without standards, became an unbearable burden for many companies.

AI and Hyper-personalization in E-Commerce

In marketing, it is said that history has come full circle. We started with a personal relationship with a local vendor who knew our name and knew what type of bread we liked. Then came the industrial era, which killed that intimacy in favor of scale. Today, thanks to technology, we are returning to the starting point — but on a massive scale.
