How do companies use AI in tenders?
More and more companies in the AEC industry are using AI in tenders because it allows them to do much more than classic systems based on rigid rules. The system analyzes the SIWZ, technical descriptions and other tender files, and then generates a short summary with the initial scoring of the project. This allows the team to see in minutes the key requirements, risks and potential profitability of participating in the proceedings. Such analysis of bids with the use of AI allows you to make decisions about participation in a tender faster, and in many companies it becomes one of the elements of the strategy - AI helps to win tenders and better manage the time of the bidding team.

Aliaxis is a global leader in the production of modern hydraulic and power systems. In the era of developing technologies and increasing competition, the manufacturer faced the challenge of effectively offering its customers.

Basic problems, which Aliaxis was facing:
Long time to prepare offers
For both Aliaxis and competing companies, the process of preparing the offer took 5-6 weeks, so the key goal was to gain an advantage over the competition.
Lack of standardization and guarantee of the quality of the offer
It could vary depending on which of the technical advisors was preparing it.
Limitations in the available tools
The existing solutions on the market could not choose the right products, and the technical advisor had to do this - the automation not only selects the constituent elements, but also does it in a sustainable way.
No support for required file formats
Customers required Aliaxis to provide bids with drainage system designs in BIM format (RVT files), and the tools used by Aliaxis did not support such formats.
Insufficient level of accuracy
The designs developed were often characterized by insufficient precision, which led to the addition of a margin of error for materials and an increase in the amount of construction waste.

The knowledge of how to design vacuum systems based on Aliaxis products is complex, making the onboarding process of specialists time consuming.

Generation and analysis of projects based on information and technical drawings received from customers.
Automatic verification of the correctness of the proposed roof drainage systems and the possibility of quick recalculation in case of need to make changes.
Generation of output files in BIM formats (RVT) at the appropriate level of accuracy, including the generation of highly accurate BIM files, which cannot be prepared manually.

Generate accurate bills of materials rather than estimates with a large margin of error.
