We made a project for a Wrocław company operating in the short-term rental industry, which wanted to implement an additional service in the form of vending machines in AirBnB facilities. The project form the beginning was planned as a product for further commercialization to other property managers.
Comprehensive implementation (application + hardware)
Zendi was looking for a partner to design the mobile app and integrate it with the vending machine at the same time. So the team had to combine software and IoT competencies to ensure stable communication between the application and the device. Separating the work between several IT companies would increase the risk of the project and the time it takes to complete it.
The need for local cooperation
The project required working with a physical device, so the client wanted to cooperate with an IT company from Wrocław. Thanks to this, several meetings could be held on the spot and the machine was handed over for testing. The remote model would hinder the development of the project, so locality was one of the key criteria for choosing a software provider.
The need to enter the market quickly
Zendi did not have any system or application before — the client was just planning to enter the market with a new product. He needed a solution that would allow him to quickly verify the business idea. It was crucial for him to reduce start-up costs and implementation time.
Simplified user experience
The app was supposed to be as simple as possible for Airbnb guests. The purchase process had to be quick and intuitive, with no unnecessary steps. A smooth transition from QR code scanning to payment was key. The whole project had to work reliably on mobile devices.
IoT system and machine programming
We programmed the control board in the vending machine, creating an IoT system that allows it to be operated remotely. The solution allows you to communicate with the mobile application and open the door remotely. We have ensured a stable connection to the backend and security of operation. The whole thing has been prepared with the idea of easy scaling to other devices.
Mobile application (no/low-code)
We created a mobile application using no/low-code technology (FlutterFlow), which significantly reduced the implementation time and reduced the cost of the project. Thanks to this, the client could quickly test his business idea and enter the market. The application allows you to purchase products and supports Stripe payments (card and BLIK). We have designed the interface to simplify the purchasing process as much as possible.
Management panel
We have implemented an administration panel to manage machines and system users. Supports roles such as administrator and serviceman, which organizes operational processes. The panel allows you to remotely open devices and monitor their operation. Basic reports and error information are also available.
QR Code Integration
We have implemented a QR code mechanism that allows you to quickly start the purchase process. After scanning, the user goes directly to the view of products and payments. The solution eliminates unnecessary steps and speeds up service. This makes using the system intuitive and convenient.
Rapid implementation allowed the introduction of an additional source of income
