About our client

An international manufacturer of power tools came to us, which kept an extensive catalog of products online. The client wanted to expand their platform with functionality that allows users to quickly navigate to dealer stores offering the product of their choice in their country.

Main problems encountered by our client

No automatic connection between the manufacturer's catalog and reseller stores

The client had an online catalog, but did not have the opportunity to present the current availability of products at individual sellers. The user, interested in buying, had to independently search for a store, which often ended in abandoning the purchase.

Insufficient timeliness of stock information

The manufacturer wanted to present only dealers who actually have a given product available in stock. Previous attempts to integrate ended up with data synchronization problems — not all resellers had an automated condition management system.

Serving international markets

The manufacturer operated globally and wanted users from different countries to see only local sellers, without the need for manual filtering. This required the development of a solution based on geolocation or analysis of the visiting country of the user.

Lack of tools to analyze the effectiveness of sales channels

The customer wanted to measure the effectiveness of the traffic coming from the product catalog — how many users go to resellers and which sellers generate the most sales volume.

As a respond to clients problems and challenges we implemented

Integration of online catalog and reseller systems

We implemented a mechanism allowing dealers to register a so-called feed (URL), from which the manufacturer's system periodically retrieved data on current stock balances. The feed could be prepared in JSON or CSV format, which provided flexibility and compatibility with various ERP systems.

Reseller Admin Panel

For partners who did not have automated solutions, we created an administration panel. It allows you to manually manage inventory balances or import them from CSV/JSON files, making it easy to update and keep your data consistent.

“Where to buy” function in the online catalog

We have added a “Where to buy” button on the product page, which, when clicked, displays a list of available resellers in a given country. The system automatically filters sellers, presenting only those who have a product in stock and operate in the user's market.

Integration of dashboards and traffic source analytics

We combined the platform with analytics tools to identify traffic sources (source/medium). This allows the manufacturer to keep track of which marketing campaigns users switch to resellers from and which products generate the most interest.

Benefits of implementation

Increase sales of products by directly linking the catalog with availability in reseller stores.

Up-to-date stock information — users only see products actually available in their region.

Streamline the purchasing process and improve the user experience by reducing the number of steps required to purchase.
